Cloud Solutions Architect
Overview
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to design and implement enterprise-scale cloud solutions across commercial and Department of Defense projects. This role involves architecting secure, scalable, and compliant cloud infrastructures that support AI/ML workloads, data engineering pipelines, and modern application deployments.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Strategy & Architecture Design
Design multi-cloud and hybrid cloud architectures for enterprise clients
Develop cloud migration strategies and roadmaps for legacy system modernization
Create secure, compliant cloud architectures meeting DoD security requirements
Lead cloud readiness assessments and technology recommendations
Technical Implementation
Architect cloud-native solutions using AWS, Azure, and GCP
Design Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
Implement cloud security frameworks and compliance controls (FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST)
Design disaster recovery and business continuity solutions
Client Engagement & Leadership
Serve as technical advisor for cloud transformation initiatives
Present cloud strategies to C-level executives and technical stakeholders
Lead cross-functional teams through complex cloud implementations
Collaborate with AI/ML teams to optimize cloud infrastructure for data science workloads
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
8+ years of enterprise cloud architecture experience
5+ years of hands-on experience with major cloud platforms
Technical Skills
Cloud Platforms: Expert-level AWS, Azure, or GCP (multi-cloud preferred)
Security: Deep understanding of cloud security, identity management, and compliance
Infrastructure: Kubernetes, Docker, serverless architectures, microservices
Automation: Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, CI/CD pipelines
Networking: VPCs, load balancers, CDNs, DNS, network security
Preferred Qualifications
Security clearance or ability to obtain clearance
DoD contracting experience and understanding of federal compliance
AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or GCP Professional Cloud Architect
