Senior Backend Developer
Overview
Web3 Tech LLC, a trailblazer consulting is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the server-side logic of our applications. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side systems, the definition and maintenance of databases, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also be working alongside our front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic in a seamless and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and Maintain Backend Systems: Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable server-side code. Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
Database Management: Design and implement database schemas that represent and support business processes. Ensure data integrity and security.
API Development: Develop APIs to support mobile and web applications, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and performant.
Collaboration and Integration: Work closely with front-end developers and other team members to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
System Architecture Design: Contribute to the overall system architecture, ensuring scalability and the ability to accommodate future changes in requirements.
Code Quality and Optimization: Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems. Ensure code quality with thorough testing and code review practices.
Mentorship: Mentor junior and mid-level developers, encouraging best practices in software development and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Stay Up-to-Date: Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and frameworks, and evaluate their applicability to our goals and requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in backend development, with a proven track record of developing and deploying high-quality applications.
Strong proficiency in backend programming languages such as Java, Python, Ruby, or Node.js.
Experience with database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra.
Expertise in developing RESTful APIs and understanding of web services technologies such as HTTP, REST, and JSON.
Solid understanding of server-side CSS preprocessors, code versioning tools (such as Git), and continuous integration.
Experience with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure) and understanding of scalable computing systems, software architecture, data structures, and algorithms.
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving aptitude.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and concisely.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
Familiarity with frontend technologies (like HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for better collaboration with frontend teams.
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, including experience implementing security and data protection solutions.
