Key Responsibilities

  • QA Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive QA strategies that align with project goals and client expectations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality digital solutions.

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA analysts and testers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.

  • Test Planning and Execution: Oversee the planning, development, and execution of test cases, scripts, and procedures across multiple projects. Ensure thorough testing of applications to identify bugs, issues, and improvements.

  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve QA processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and adaptability. Implement best practices in testing, automation, and tools utilization.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary QA point of contact for project teams and clients, providing regular updates on QA progress, insights, and recommendations. Ensure clear and effective communication across all levels of the project team.

  • Risk Management: Proactively identify potential quality risks in the development lifecycle and devise mitigation strategies to address them promptly.

  • Technology and Tools: Stay abreast of the latest trends in QA methodologies, technologies, and tools. Advocate for the adoption of new technologies and tools that can improve the quality and efficiency of testing.

  • Quality Metrics and Reporting: Define and monitor key QA metrics to assess the effectiveness of QA activities. Prepare and present detailed reports on QA outcomes, highlighting successes, challenges, and areas for improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in QA/testing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing QA teams.

  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes, including experience with automated testing tools.

  • Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.

  • Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing, as well as automated testing systems.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team towards achieving high-quality outcomes.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.

Preferred Skills

  • Certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or equivalent.

  • Experience with performance and/or security testing.

  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) practices.

  • Previous experience in a consulting or digital agency environment, with exposure to various industries and projects.
